Freddy’s Opens in Lincoln on New Year’s Day

Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers (www.freddysusa.com) , opened in Lincoln on Friday, January 1, at 2711 S. 48th St. The restaurant’s menu includes lean beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, and shoestrings fries, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of freshly-churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.

“Lincoln is a great community, a thriving city, and we’re excited to be a part of the new development,” said Ron Oberg, franchise owner. “The enthusiasm surrounding our arrival was incredible and we look forward to serving many more guests.”

The 4,345 square-foot, free-standing franchise location seats 152 guests, with additional seating on the patio. The restaurant features a double drive-thru. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“If you’ve never tasted a Freddy’s steakburger, you are in for a treat,” said Oberg.  “A guest favorite is the Original Double combo meal, also called the #1 combo meal, made with two steakburger patties pressed thin, topped with American cheese, mustard, pickle, and onion, all on a toasted bun. It comes with a heaping portion of our crispy shoestring fries and drink.”
