Alzheimer’s Association to Host Inaugural Statewide Growing Hope Gala

The Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org/nebraska) is uniting ALL Nebraskans this March with their inaugural statewide Growing Hope Gala. The Association is breaking the traditional gala mold by taking their event into an unconventional venue at the Lauritzen Botanical Gardens in Omaha.

The Gala will take place Saturday, March 19 from 6-9 p.m. at the Lauritzen Gardens.  Guests will enjoy a cocktail tasting party all inside an urban oasis of beauty and tranquility, featuring signature cocktails and dishes from a variety of bars and restaurants in Lincoln and Omaha. In addition to food and live music, local artists will be on site painting interpretations of artwork recently completed by community members living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Regardless of whether you are able to join on March 19, please consider participating in the annual online silent auction. You can bid on a variety of unique products and services from the comfort of your home or office by simply signing up at: alz.org/nebraska. This year a trip for one to The Master’s Practice Round Experience at Augusta National Golf Club on April 6, 2016 will be featured. Join Ron and Jeanie Carson of Omaha at the morning practice round and afternoon Par 3 tournament followed by evening cocktails with football “Hall-of-Famer” Lynn Swann. Lodging and airfare not included. Bidding opens February 1, 2016.

Tickets and table reservations will now be accepted. You can buy them from the Alzheimer’s Association online at alz.org/nebraska, or contact Lisa Sypal at (402) 420-2540 Ext. 8261.
