Vetter Health Services Celebrates 40 Years, Publishes Book

As 2015 came to an end, Vetter Health Services (www.vetterhealthservices.com) reflected on the celebration of 40 years of providing quality living options and care to seniors and the many team members who bring quality care throughout all of its locations. To celebrate, multiple events were held during 2015 at all 30 locations located throughout the Midwest.

Looking for ways to help others in each community, many of the celebrations of the 40th year included fundraising walks, bake sales and soup and sandwich drives and were all held to raise money for various causes. The causes included cancer research, renovations for the Bonham Theatre in Fairbury, the Salvation Army, the Red Cloud Fire Department and EMS and Papillion’s Veteran’s Park Memorial and Honor Wall.

Each quarter, theme parties were held celebrating the various decades of the last 40 years with residents and team members. They listened to hit songs of the decades and wore clothing from the different eras. An award banquet was also held that was attended by home office team members, administrators and quality partners. Special wishes were granted for residents through VHS’s Make-A-Wish program.

And to commemorate the history of the past 40 years, the book “Vetter Health Services (Images of Modern America)” was published by Arcadia Publishing, co-written by DaNita Naimoli and Diane Neal. The book is available at local bookstores and on Amazon.com.
