Happy 5th Anniversary to Hospice Community Care of Nebraska
Hospice Community Care of Nebraska (www.hospicecarenebraska.com) is celebrating their five year anniversary! They officially opened their doors and arms to patients and their loved ones who were facing life-limiting illnesses in March of 2011. Over 25 compassionate, caring and dedicated staff members make up their hospice team, including Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, a Volunteer and Bereavement Coordinator, Chaplains, Dietician, a Patient Care Coordinator, Volunteers, their Medical Director Dr. Douglas Fiedler and Executive Director Lisa Pham, RN.
Hospice Community Care operates under a philosophy of care that promotes dignity and emphasizes quality of life for those who choose to die in a familiar setting, surrounded by those they love. The purpose of hospice care is to improve the overall quality of life by alleviating suffering; it’s designed to holistically care for a patient by addressing their physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs and is not about giving up, but rather, the decision to make the time remaining the most enjoyable possible. Hospice allows for a patient who is terminally ill to live life to the fullest while dying.
The Hospice Community Care team is proud to be celebrating five years of providing quality care and comfort to their patients.
