Lincoln Arts Council to Host Arts & Economic Prosperity National Survey
The Lincoln Arts Council (www.artscene.org) has announced it will be hosting the third Arts & Economic Prosperity survey on behalf of the City of Lincoln.
Dyana Anderson has been hired to coordinate data collection with participating arts organizations. Arts presenters of all sizes with shows featuring music, visual, theatre and performance art will partner with the Lincoln Arts Council to contribute information. A survey of the arts organizations will measure sales and expenses including jobs and salaries.
Additionally, an audience survey will measure arts spending above the cost of the event such as food, beverages and lodging. When you are attending events in Lincoln, please take about three minutes to complete a survey.
With the growth of Lincoln’s entertainment industry since the last survey compiled in 2011, Lincoln’s statistics are projected to demonstrate the powerful direct and indirect financial contribution that the arts make to Lincoln’s economic development. Visit www.americansforthearts.org for more details and to see the statistics from the past two studies conducted by the Lincoln Arts Council with Americans for the Arts.
