Pius X Students Walk for Life
Pius X High School (www.piusx.net) students, staff, priests, and parents joined over 5,000 Nebraska pro-life supporters at the state capitol on Saturday, January 30, for the Nebraska Walk for Life. Senators Deb Fischer, Governor Pete Ricketts, Lt. Governor Mike Foley, and Congressman Jeff Fortenberry were among the morning speakers.
After the singing of the National Anthem and the releasing of thousands of pink and blue balloons at the State Capitol, walkers made their way to the UNL Student Union to hear from Sue Thayer, the former director of Planned Parenthood in Storm Lake, Iowa. Sue shared her miraculous and inspiring conversion story of leaving Planned Parenthood after 18 years and now directing a pregnancy resource center.
Pius X students walked, prayed, and shamelessly carried signs to give a voice to the voiceless.
