Raising Cane’s Donates 10% of Sales to the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Raising Cane’s (www.raisingcanes.com) donated 10% of all sales on October 11 from their Lincoln and Grand Island restaurants to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. Additionally, Justin Jones, owner of the Lincoln and Grand Island restaurants, personally raised funds for the event by being a part of Lincoln’s Real Men Wear Pink. The restaurants also collected donations from guests who wanted to round-up their orders to the nearest dollar or add any donation amount onto their check. 100% of donations went directly to the American Cancer Society along with the total amount from 10% of the day’s sales.

“One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. One in eight, and that’s not okay,” said Justin Jones. “By raising money and educating people about the disease, we not only provide funds for research, but we can save lives by helping people take steps to reduce their risk through early detection when the disease is most treatable. Thank you to all who have supported the cause this year.”

Since 2006, the Lincoln franchise has given back over $1 million to the Lincoln community.
