Alzheimer’s Association to Host Annual Statewide Gala
For the second year, the Nebraska community will be coming together at the 2017 Statewide Growing Hope Gala with a single united goal – to end Alzheimer’s disease and find Nebraska’s first survivor. Although this is only the second year the Alzheimer’s Association Nebraska Chapter (www.alz.org/nebraska) has had the opportunity to host an event representative of the whole state, the tradition of the annual Gala has been woven into the tapestry of our community for many years.
The 2017 Alzheimer’s Gala will be a Roaring Twenties themed event taking place at Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln on February 11, 2017. The event includes a cocktail hour, dinner, silent auction and entertainment by Brewksy’s Food & Spirits, “Blazin’ Pianos – the Midwest’s finest dueling piano show.” Individual tickets or tables can be purchased online at alz.org/nebraska. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact Megan Myers at mmyers@alz.org.
Alzheimer’s disease is a growing epidemic and the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. As baby boomers age, the number of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease will rapidly escalate, increasing well beyond today’s more than 5 million Americans to as many as 16 million by 2050. The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research.
