Kinkaider Brewing Set to Open Taproom in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket
Back in March, Kinkaider Brewing Co. (kinkaiderbrewing.com) announced plans to open a new taproom in the Haymarket inside the Lincoln Station building on 7th and Q St. The brewery got its start four years ago in Broken Bow, Nebraska and has since opened additional taprooms in Grand Island and now Lincoln.
The new Lincoln taproom, slated to open this summer, brings with it 15-20 new jobs and 45 variations of craft beer a year for patrons to enjoy. Operating as a full-service bar, wine and signature cocktails will also be offered. With 1,200 sq. ft., they will be able to seat 40 people inside and another 40 outside. While the space does not allow for a full kitchen, they intend to establish strategic partnerships with local businesses to offer a variety of great food options including food trucks, neighboring kitchens, and delivery services as well as in-house offerings.
Owner Cody Schmick is looking forward to diving into the Haymarket scene and the surrounding downtown Lincoln and Railyard districts. He plans to entertain guests with events like tailgate parties, live music, Octoberfest celebrations, and more in the coming months. The goal is to create an atmosphere that welcomes all types of people and caters to a wide range of drink preferences, even non-alcoholic offerings like their signature root beer. All while hatching a plan to turn the world into beer drinkers!
