Local Boys & Girls Club Hires Michelle Birkel as New Executive Director

The Boys & Girls Club of Lincoln/Lancaster County (www.lincolnbgc.org) is pleased to announce the hiring of Michelle Birkel as the new executive director. Birkel assumed her new role effective July 23.

Birkel has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and resides in Lincoln.

Located at Park Middle School, the Boys & Girls Club serves an average of 200 youth each day, offering a broad range of programs promoting academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles. This fall, the Club is excited to open their second location at North Star High School.
