Union Bank & Trust Hires Drew Brown and Spencer Bergen, Promotes Adam Fousek
Union Bank & Trust (www.ubt.com) recently hired Drew Brown as chief information officer and Spencer Bergen as in-house legal counsel. Additionally, Adam Fousek was promoted to vice president of engineering.
Brown, as the chief information officer, will oversee the implementation of UBT’s bank-wide IT strategy, including improvements to the online and mobile customer experience, simplifying online interactions with customers and continued data analytics capabilities. He brings over 13 years of wide-ranging IT experience to Union Bank, consulting for publicly traded companies and large private organizations across banking, credit cards, private equity, insurance, and federal and state government among many others. Brown received both his undergrad and graduate degrees from Brigham Young University.
Bergen will serve as the legal counsel for the wholesale lending division. He has been a licensed attorney for four years, focusing on business organization and estate planning among other general legal practice areas. Bergen received his law degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln College of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, Lincoln Bar Association and Lincoln’s Young Professionals Group.
Fousek, now vice president of engineering, provides technical vision and strategy to ensure UBT’s technology capabilities align with overall business goals. He will also implement new technologies as needed to better support customers and expand the bank’s capabilities. Fousek joined UBT in 2006, serving first as a network engineer and most recently as an information technology officer. He received an associate’s degree from Lincoln School of Commerce and is a graduate of Bank Technology Management School from the Graduate School of Banking.
