Project Pink’d to Provide Thanksgiving Meals for Breast Cancer Survivors
Project Pink’d, Inc. (www.projectpinkd.org) and Nebraska Medicine have partnered to make the burden a little easier for those going through treatment and in financial need this holiday season.
On Sunday, November 11 from 1-3 p.m., Project Pink’d will host their “Care to Share Thanksgiving” luncheon at The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. Up to 175 breast cancer survivors will enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving luncheon in the company of new friends, connect with other survivors, and hear inspirational stories from survivors who are now thriving. At the conclusion of the event, each guest will take home a complimentary Thanksgiving meal to enjoy with their family.
“Project Pink’d made a difference for me. It was so helpful to hear from the women who have walked this path. My next round of chemo is Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I wasn’t cooking turkey for my kids, now I can. Thank you!” Exclaimed Sharon, 2017 Care to Share Thanksgiving Participant.
Through generous contributions, Project Pink’d is proud to offer this program free to pre-registered breast cancer survivors. Space is limited and registration is required at www.projectpinkd.org.
From the moment of diagnosis through end of life, Project Pink’d, Inc. provides tools, resources, and a strong network to strengthen and renew the mind, body, and spirit of breast cancer survivors in Nebraska.
