Acklie Charitable Foundation Presented with Prosper Lincoln Step Up Award
Bryan Seck, Prosper Lincoln’s developer for employment skills, presented Acklie Charitable Foundation with the Prosper Lincoln (ProsperLincoln.org) Step Up award.
Acklie Charitable Foundation is providing funding so that Lincoln students utilizing Southeast Community College’s Learn to Dream scholarship can now attend a second year without paying tuition and fees. This funding is sufficient for a student to graduate with an associate’s degree or complete their general education credits prior to transferring to a four-year college.
The Learn to Dream scholarship, established in 2007 by Union Bank & Trust and Nelnet to improve post-secondary education options for low-income students, has helped 5,000 Lincoln-area high school graduates advance their education at SCC in Beatrice, Lincoln, or Milford.
