Nebraska Safety Council Recognizes 53 Companies at Awards Luncheon

On October 10 at the Nebraska Safety Council (www.nesafetycouncil.org) Conference and Trade Show Awards Luncheon, the Nebraska Safety Council recognized a total of 53 companies for making a difference in workplace safety and wellness. Of which, 15 received Workplace Safety Awards and 38 received Governor’s Wellness Awards. Award winners were presented with a trophy or certificate by Lt. Governor Mike Foley and Executive Director Laurie Klosterboer.

The Workplace Safety Award Program is designed for Nebraska Safety Council member companies that encourage and promote the prevention of occupational injuries and illness in their workplaces and have achieved superior results in the success of their safety programs.

Recipients of Governor’s Wellness Awards are also recognized during the luncheon. The Nebraska Safety Council administers and facilitates this award program.

The Nebraska Safety Council is a non-profit organization headquartered in Lincoln that provides education and leadership to empower people to live safe and healthy.
