Immanuel Resident Dolores Knispel Honored with Master Angler Award

Dolores Knispel, resident at Immanuel’s Clark Jeary retirement community, caught the “big one” on a recent resident trip and was honored with Nebraska Game and Parks’ coveted Master Angler Award. The award was presented for an over 11-inch bluegill she caught on Lake Wanahoo in Wahoo while participating with Live Well. Go Fish., an organization that provides seniors with unforgettable fishing cruises.

Less than 200 master angler awards are given each year, as they’re only presented to fishermen and women whose catches meet length and size requirements. The 11-inch bluegill caught by Knispel was the biggest ever caught in the Live Well. Go Fish. program. This year, seven master angler awards were presented to the organization’s participants, four of which were residents of an Immanuel community.
