Nebraska Safety Council Announces Teen Driver Education Opportunities

The Nebraska Safety Council (www.nesafetycouncil.org) will be offering Teen Driver Education courses in February and March. They are the only AAA-Certified course provider in Lincoln, providing top-notch classroom instruction and hands-on training for new drivers.

The winter driver education course will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. between February 12 and March 7, and additionally on Saturday, February 16 from 8 a.m. to noon. All winter courses will take place at the Nebraska Safety Council, 3243 Cornhusker Hwy., STE A10, Lincoln. Dates for the spring driver education courses are March 11–14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Southwest High School or Southeast High School.

The Nebraska Safety Council, a non-profit organization headquartered in Lincoln, encourages new drivers to register early for their winter and spring driver education trainings—spots in class fill up quickly! According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), vehicle collisions are the leading cause of death for teens 15–18 years old in the U.S. It is critical to educate new drivers on how they can stay safe behind the wheel. To register your teen driver for the winter or spring driving course, go online to www.nesafetycouncil.org or call (402) 483-2511.
