East Lincoln Business Association Donates Over $500 to Food Fort
The East Lincoln Business Association (ELBA; elbalincoln.com) is dedicated to giving back to the community. The group recently donated over $500 to Food Fort, a local non-profit dedicated to serving children in underserved neighborhoods. The ELBA board wrote a check for $500 and then passed the hat for their members to donate. The donation check was presented to Food Fort at ELBA’s December luncheon, which was held at The Resort at Firethorn.
“Each year we choose a charity for our December giving,” notes Laurie Fraser, vice president of ELBA. “This year, Food Fort was chosen due to their dedication to working with underserved children of Lincoln, proving them with food and companionship.”
ELBA currently has 80+ active members who meet monthly to discuss the events impacting our business environment. A luncheon is hosted at Firethorn at 11 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month and prospective members are invited to attend any upcoming luncheon to learn more about the group. The next event will be on March 28.
