Food Fort Elects Rebecca Christie to Board of Directors

Food Fort of Lincoln (www.lincolnfoodfort.com) is excited to announce the addition of Rebecca Christie to their board of directors. The non-profit is confident that Rebecca will be an incredible asset to the organization. Rebecca is now serving as secretary for the Food Fort board and believes strongly in the mission of serving children in the under-resourced neighborhoods of Lincoln.

Professionally, Rebecca works as a senior customer success manager for Glint, a LinkedIn company. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active by going on walks and playing tennis with her husband, Jack. During the cold months, she prefers to stay indoors reading books and watching old movies. Food Fort founders, Ben and Michaela Akridge, are looking forward to all the incredible ideas and input Rebecca will bring to the organization in the coming year.

This month, Food Fort is busy preparing for spring and restructuring their Free Produce Program, which will launch again this spring. They are hoping to provide even more fresh options for the children and families in Food Fort’s three target neighborhoods around the Lincoln community.
