Luxury Landscape – “Your Garden, Our Passion”
Luxury Landscape (www.luxurylandscape-llc.com) was launched in October of 2018 by Jackie Lienemann and Ken Svoboda. Ken and Jackie have always dreamed of working side by side and decided to make it a reality! They are both passionate about creating unique, creative landscapes, using their 40+ years of combined landscape experience and offering it to their clients.
Give a brief synopsis of what your company does. – Luxury Landscape is a full-service landscape company that provides a unique experience to all of their customers. From helping the DIY’er (Do-It-Yourselfers) make their own landscape dreams come true, to providing a full installation of that same dream for them, we make it happen!
What do you think makes you different from the other companies similar to yours? – We work very closely with the DIY’ers, offering the guidance they may need without the cost of a full installation. We love helping individuals and families “do it themselves,” as we are passionate about doing our own as well!
What do you like about doing business in Lincoln? – Lincoln has that small town feel where it’s residents appreciate working with the owners of the company and put great value in that strong Nebraska work ethic. At the same time, Lincoln has all the resources available that you’ll find in larger cities.
What kind of community organizations/groups is your business involved with? – Currently, Luxury Landscape is members of the Lincoln Independent Business Association (LIBA). Their commitment to helping small businesses not only survive, but grow in a heavily regulated environment, is essential to our values. In the future, we want to become more involved in the many non-profit organizations that help make Lincoln the beautiful, vibrant, and caring city it is.
What is your business philosophy or mission statement? – To offer customers a unique hands-on personal touch, with a customized landscape design and consultation experience! We also take great pride in returning messages in a timely manner, as we respect our customers’ time greatly.
What changes have you seen in the industry and your company in the past few years? – Our landscape industry has been transformed from simply designing and planting trees and shrubs, to offering a complete outdoor living space experience! Sure, we still plant trees, shrubs, and perennials, but today the customers ask for themed landscapes, such as mountain, costal, urban, etc.
What do you see happening with the business in the next five years? – Since the recent launch of our business, we have seen an explosion of customers reaching out to us wanting to see what all the excitement is about. We have grown faster than we anticipated, so we expect Luxury Landscape make its way to top of the industry in Lincoln!
What is one of the biggest challenges that your company has faced? – Lincoln’s unemployment rate looks great at the national level, but is a disaster to the local business. Having a hard time attracting employees isn’t unique to our business or industry. Every employer wishing to grow their business is suffering. We have counted on our business philosophy of creating a fun work environment and treating our employees with respect. That sense of family among our staff has helped us find great employees!
What has been your most important achievement as a business? – As a new business that has yet to celebrate its first year, our greatest achievement is yet to come, but we are confident there will be many! To date, our greatest achievement has been providing outstanding service to our great customers.
What is the biggest turning point in your business? – Our biggest turning point was launching our dream! Leaving the security of full-time jobs with benefits to start Luxury Landscape required strength, courage, and believing in ourselves.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about your business that most people don’t know? – We love helping others achieve their dream of building their perfect outdoor oasis. Most landscapers will only offer a full and complete installation, but what if you just need some advice, direction, and a little help? Luxury Landscape offers the DIY folks out there a way to fulfill their own dreams without costing them an arm and a leg.
What is one goal for your business that you have yet to accomplish? – We want Luxury Landscape to be the first and only call the people of Lincoln have to make when they want the highest quality, customer friendly landscape service!
