Bridge to Better Living Presents at Bryan 2019 Geriatric Conference

Mary Ann Stallings, owner and founder of Bridge to Better Living (www.BridgetoBetterLiving.com), and Kristine Dykeman-Schoening, director of development, presented at the Bryan 2019 Geriatric Conference in April at the Gregorious Conference Center, located on Bryan West’s Campus. The audience was comprised of over 150 clinical psychologists, social workers, case managers, therapists, and nurses from Nebraska.

The Geriatric Conference’s agenda addressed new care options for the rapidly growing aging population. Focus was on the difficult decisions faced by seniors, their families, and caregivers who often seek resources from healthcare professionals. Bridge to Better Living addressed the challenges of aging, shared statistical information on geriatric healthcare changes, spoke about indicators of activity of daily living declines, and how planning is the best approach to enjoying quality of life. Financial costs were addressed when defining each type of community. This information is valued by professionals working with seniors and seeking resources.

Bridge to Better Living’s expert staff helps seniors and their families during the difficult navigation of researching retirement communities, including independent, assisted, memory-assisted, and long-term care. They are the first locally owned transition service in Nebraska and have helped thousands of seniors since 2010.
