Stepping Stones’ Annual Garage Sale Proceeds to Benefit Clients

Stepping Stones (www.steppingstoneslincoln.com) is holding its annual indoor garage and bake sale on July 25 and 26. The sale will be held at Lincoln Medical Education Partnership at 4600 Valley Rd., Entrance 1, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Proceeds from the sale are used to provide personal hygiene items, diapers, wipes, and transportation assistance for Stepping Stones’ clients.

Donations of gently used items are now being accepted for the sale. Items sought include household and kitchen items, furniture, children’s clothing, toys, games, bedding, holiday and home décor, vintage items, collectibles, baby items, books for all ages, tools, bicycles, etc. Working electronics will be accepted, however, tube TVs, computer monitors, and computers cannot be accepted. Items may be dropped off at the Stepping Stones’ office.

Stepping Stones is an outpatient substance abuse treatment center, providing alcohol and drug assessments and counseling services for adolescents (ages 13–18) and adults. Stepping Stones currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, Midlands Choice, Nebraska Total Care, Wellcare of Nebraska, United Healthcare Community Plan, and Medica. Stepping Stones also offers Safety Sensitive education and counseling for those in Safety Sensitive positions under the Department of Transportation.
