Ribbon-Cutting Event Celebrates Grand Opening of Wax Buffalo Candle Studio
Wax Buffalo Pure Soy Candle Co. (waxbuffalo.com) was joined by Lincoln Chamber of Commerce representatives on June 7 to commemorate the grand opening of their new studio in the Haymarket district with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Founded by Alicia Reisinger in her home kitchen in 2014, the opening of Wax Buffalo marks a major milestone for the company. The studio now employs more than a dozen individuals, can be found in stores nationwide, and has become a staple in the Lincoln community. The new space will serve as both a retail space for Wax Buffalo’s popular candles, as well as the production facility for its rapidly growing operation. Visitors to the retail space will also find a variety of goods from other artists and makers to enjoy.
“It’s exciting to be starting this new phase of the Wax Buffalo story,” says Reisinger. “We are looking forward to being a member of the Haymarket district and introducing new audiences to not only Wax Buffalo candles, but to the many other local makers and artisans we’ll be showcasing in our beautiful new space.”
