The Chocolate Season Moves Into Lincoln’s Williamsburg Village, Opening in October

Erika Jensen is relocating her business, The Chocolate Season (www.thechocolateseason.com), to Lincoln from her hometown in Algona, IA. With plans to officially open its doors in Williamsburg Village in October, The Chocolate Season will be the first non-franchised local/artisan coffee shop in Lincoln that features a drive-thru with the flagship brick and mortar.

Erika started The Chocolate Season outside of Omaha as an internet commerce-only shop. She and her husband Brad, a Blair native, are both graduates of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Brad encouraged Erika to pursue her passion of baking treats just like the ones her grandma made for her on the farm growing up. The Chocolate Season evolved from a dream to a production facility and then into a thriving business supporting local farmers with a seasonal lunch menu, drinks crafted from in-house syrups, and international chocolate offerings. The Chocolate Season will also offer educational experiences and team building with a variety of dessert and chocolate classes, and Erika has launched a “barista for hire” truck concept that can cater to open houses, weddings, graduations, etc.

The Chocolate Season has been named the Iowa SBDC’s small business of the month, featured on IPTV’s Iowa Ingredient and the Food Network’s Best Waffles in America list, selected as Iowa’s local business for Google’s “get your business online” campaign, and is also a recent graduate of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.
