Abby Lehr Named Administrator of Sumner Place Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation

Abby Lehr has been announced as the new administrator of Sumner Place Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation (www.sumnerplacecare.com). Abby joined the Sumner Place family in 2015 as the people development coordinator. She has done an exceptional job selecting and developing team members who radiate warmth, compassion, and respect in all that they do.

At Sumner Place, the staff strives to provide dignity in life and personalized care while promoting relationships of trust, confidence, and loyalty to all of those they serve. Abby’s enthusiasm and dedication to Sumner Place is contagious. Abby has her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Buena Vista University. During her undergrad, she played volleyball and was the president of Psi Chi (National Honor Society for Psychology Majors) and president of SASW (Students Association of Social Workers).

Prior to working at Sumner Place, Abby worked at Hemphill Search Group, which recruited for accounting and finance roles. She grew up in Elk Point, SD, but is dedicated to being a true Husker fan! Her hobbies include spending time with her husband Josh and their daughter Mila. She enjoys being an active member of Sheridan Lutheran Church, golfing, and listening to podcasts.
