Wear Yellow Nebraska Provides Record Number of Free Cab Rides to Cancer Survivors
During the first seven months of 2020, Wear Yellow Nebraska (wearyellownebraska.org) provided more than 1,700 free cab rides to Nebraska’s cancer survivors—that’s $28,000 worth of cab rides! Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, and event participants, Wear Yellow Nebraska has been able to achieve steady, continued growth and have already far surpassed their projected number of rides for this point in the year. Due to this record demand, they are looking for additional sponsors to help increase support for their mission of providing service, support, and community for cancer survivors across Nebraska.
Wear Yellow Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a clear focus on niche initiatives that offer cancer survivors support that usually goes unaddressed and for people who would otherwise fall through the cracks. Wear Yellow prides itself for being an organization that truly cares for each individual’s specific circumstances. Access to rides to and from treatment are essential because patients are in a weakened state and oftentimes not able to drive themselves and, as a result, vulnerable to lapses in vital medical care.
