NAWIC Offers 12 Opportunities for Women in Construction to Participate in 2021 Events

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC, nawicomaha.com) Greater Omaha Chapter 116 has unveiled their 2021 calendar of opportunities for women in construction to attend to learn more about the compelling organization. Their monthly meetings and events showcase a vast array of topics and sectors of the construction world. New participants are invited to attend one or many of their FREE events with core purpose of strengthening and amplify the success of women in the construction industry.

In 2021, NAWIC events will tentatively focus on the following, by month: January – NAWIC 101; February: Leadership workshop; March 1-7: Women in Construction Week; April: Jobsite tour with panel discussion; May: College campus event; June: Union Hall tour; July: Jobsite tour; August: Mentorship program; September: Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity; October: Pumpkin, power tools, and safety; November: Book club; December: Donation wrap for charity. NAWIC is committed to championing women to impact the direction of the construction industry. They provide women with education, support, and networking to help advance their careers in construction, build their technical skills, and help them becomes leaders. All women working in construction are eligible for membership, including those working in the trades, project management, marketing, administration, and executive leadership. Meetings for the Greater Omaha chapter are on the second Thursday of each month in varied locations, and are open to the public.
