A Warmer Day Issues Call to Action for Coats, Winter Wear, with Record Demand Afoot
A Wamer Day (www.awarmerday.org) is feeling the pressure of 2020 challenges in the form of increased demand for coats and winter wear for Lincoln and surrounding communities, so they have issued a call to action to residents to collect coats and more. Even after a September drive led to distribution of more than 300 winter coats, gloves, hats, and scarves, the nonprofit continues to get requests for help from a record number of people in the area, making it clear that there are more people than ever struggling in the wake of COVID.
With this in mind, A Warmer Day issued a challenge to area residents, neighborhoods, and businesses to do coat drives for all sizes (adult, children, teens) of coats, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. to provide a warmer winter to those who are less fortunate this season but need to keep their families safe and warm.
A Warmer Day is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Nebraskans in need get coats, gloves, mittens, and scarves.
