HopeSpoke Receives $2020 Donation from Midwest Family Lending MFLCares Program

HopeSpoke (hopespoke.org) was chosen as Midwest Family Lending’s (MFL’s) final monthly feature nonprofit of 2020, receiving a donation of $2,020 from the MFLCares program to round out the year with a bang! The funds will be used to support HopeSpoke’s mission to inspire healthy futures for children and their families through comprehensive behavioral and mental-health services. Through MFLCares, Midwest Family Lending employees nominate and select one cause each month to support, and MFL licensed mortgage loan originator Jean Holman nominated HopeSpoke after one of her customers told her about the local nonprofit and its mission. Jean said MFL is proud to support HopeSpoke because it helps kids who might otherwise fall through the cracks and not get the help they need. HopeSpoke ensured that the donation will be used for just that.

“We’re grateful to Jean for choosing HopeSpoke to receive this generous gift, which will ensure that we have the crucial resources to provide outpatient services to all who need them, regardless of their ability to pay,” said HopeSpoke Executive Director Katie McLeese Stephenson, MSW.

HopeSpoke has been inspiring healthy futures for children and their families through comprehensive behavioral and mental-health services for more than 70 years. They provide help for youth at risk for suicide and behavioral challenges, and they provide school-based therapy for public-school students.
