Clearwater Counseling Advocates for Mental Health Awareness Month Throughout May

Throughout the month of May, Clearwater Counseling, PC (clearwatercounselingpc.org) is advocating for Mental Health Awareness Month, an observance intended to bring mental health to the forefront. One in five American adults experience a mental health issue, and one in 25 Americans have lived with a serious mental health illness, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or depression. The Clearwater Counseling team understands that mental health is just as important as physical health, and while many factors can attribute to mental health problems—including biological factors, life experiences and even family history—recovery is possible. Treatment varies for mental health problems and a strong support system is critical for those dealing with mental health struggles.

Clearwater Counseling works with clients who are struggling with a variety of mental health diagnoses including depression, relationship issues, stress, grief/loss/trauma, addiction and recovery, co-dependency, anxiety and phobias, parenting problems, sexual abuse and incest, physical abuse, and violence, and more. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please don’t be afraid to reach out to others and talk about it. Only together can we raise awareness and end the stigma surrounding mental health.

Clearwater Counseling, PC is a private practice offering mental health services to children, adolescents and adults in the Grand Island and Omaha areas. They work to treat mental health diagnoses through personalized and compassionate counseling practices that promote growth, development, and well-being to further enhance quality of life.
