TeamMates Mentoring of Lincoln Invites Local Businesses to Host Recruitment

TeamMates Mentoring of Lincoln (LincolnTeamMates.org) is seeking local businesses that would like to host recruitment presentations for their staff. While TeamMates currently has over 1,200 active matches, hundreds of additional students await a mentor. TeamMates provides youth in grades 3-12 with a one-to-one adult mentor who provides support and encouragement. In-person and virtual mentoring are available depending on the student and mentor’s circumstances.

“Our partnerships with businesses are fundamental to our success as an organization. We have some great partners, but would love to add more this year,” said Jim Bennett, director of Lincoln TeamMates. “Businesses benefit from volunteering by uplifting the community, and by doing so, they can demonstrate the mission and values of their company.”

There are tremendous benefits to a company’s workforce and productivity, as well. TeamMates surveys participants annually, and results continuously reveal that after their mentoring visit, mentors return to work more engaged, hopeful, and in a better mood.
