Friendship Home Launches Series to Raise Domestic Violence Awareness
During Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, Friendship Home of Lincoln (www.friendshiphome.org) is launching a series of blogs and videos to bring awareness to domestic violence and Friendship Home’s mission. This awareness series will be published on Friendship Home’s Facebook page and at FriendshipHome.org during the month of October.
In Lancaster County, one in four women have experienced domestic violence at some point in their life. Through crisis services, emergency shelter, and transitional housing, Friendship Home helps victims and their children gain insight into their trauma and guides them to use their strengths to rebuild their lives—free from domestic violence. This powerful series will help you learn more about Friendship Home’s services, including the impact domestic violence has on women’s health, the children that experience and witness this abuse, and how you can take a stand against domestic violence.
Friendship Home started in 1978 to support, shelter, and advocate for victims of domestic violence and their children. They want to assure those in Lancaster County that they are continuing to provide crisis services, emergency shelter, and transitional housing to victims of domestic violence and their children.
