Shannon Miller, Stepping Stones Counselor, Passes National Counselor Examination
Stepping Stones (www.steppingstoneslincoln.com) is pleased to announce that Shannon Miller has passed the National Counseling Examination and has applied for licensure as an independent mental health practitioner in the State of Nebraska. Shannon has been part of the Stepping Stones team since 2016, providing mental health assessments, alcohol and drug evaluations, and outpatient counseling and treatment services for those with behavioral health needs. Shannon received her bachelor’s degree in behavioral science and her master’s degree in counseling from Bellevue University. She has a diverse background as a counselor and is experienced in providing counseling services to those who have experienced trauma and/or struggle with co-occurring mental health issues. She has over 19 years of experience working in the human services field and over 14 years as a counselor.
Stepping Stones’ outpatient services encompass counseling for mental health and co-occurring disorders, drug and alcohol assessment, and substance use counseling and treatment. Stepping Stones is a program of Lincoln Medical Education Partnership located at 4600 Valley Rd. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are scheduled through Lincoln Family Medicine Center by calling (402) 483-4571.
