The Lincoln Veterans Parade to Take Place on November 7, Honoring Vietnam Veterans

On Saturday, November 7, The Veterans Parade is set to take place. Organized by the Lincoln Veterans Parade Group (www.lincolnveteransparade.org), the parade will begin at 2 p.m. with an opening ceremony at the north Capitol Building steps. The parade line will then start from S 21st and K St. moving westbound to S 14th St. This year, the Lincoln Veterans Parade Group is honoring Vietnam veterans.

The Veterans Parade will have feature floats, vehicles, military organizations, and other civic organizations. Lincoln public and private high school marching bands will be performing as well as high school marching bands from surrounding towns.

The Lincoln Veterans Parade Group was incorporated in 2019 and received its IRC 501(c)(3) status. The group consists of veterans and civilians alike who want to acknowledge Lincoln veterans and thank them for their service. Antonio Marino holds the position of commander. Other primary Board members are Sandy Marino, Roy Christensen, and James Bunch. Randy Kassebaum has done a fantastic job with the website, graphics, and all the printing. Go to www.lincolnveteransparade.org for registration and to see a list of all the sponsors and participating organizations, pictures from previous year’s parades, and the parade route.
