Lincoln Goodwill to Host Letters to Santa Workshops in December
Goodwill (www.lincolngoodwill.org) is helping letters get to the North Pole this year. On Sunday, December 12 and Saturday, December 18, Goodwill is offering Letters to Santa workshops from 1 to 3 p.m. at Gateway Mall. Attendees just need to bring themselves and their wishes to this completely free event. Goodwill will supply cards, paper, markers, ribbons, and more. This workshop is made possible by Goodwill’s Bits and Pieces section in their stores that meet all crafting needs from jewelry to utensils and ribbon to glue.
From supporting Goodwill’s community events like these to shopping in their stores, the community helps Goodwill to continue to provide employment and training opportunities for people with barriers to employment. The sale of donated items in Goodwill’s retail stores remains the largest source of funding for its programs and services. It is with this understanding that Goodwill provides funding to colleague agencies to help with their own programs that align with Goodwill’s mission of willing workers employed and community resources maximized.
