NAWIC Invites Women in Construction to Hear from Members in Job Networking Event
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC, www.nawicomaha.com) invites women in the construction field to join them at their networking event to learn about other women’s job titles and descriptions on Thursday, January 13. Hear from fellow members on how they grew in their career, and gain knowledge about how to get to the next level in yours!
The event will be held in-person and virtually, with locations in both Omaha and Lincoln, and will run from 4 to 6 p.m. Visit NAWIC’s Facebook page (@nawicomaha) to stay up-to-date on the event location. Those interested can RSVP for the event by emailing nawicomaha@gmail.com.
National Association of Women in Construction Greater Omaha Chapter #116 based in Omaha also encompasses Lincoln, Council Bluffs, and the surrounding areas. First chartered in 1966, the chapter has over 60 members working in businesses whose primary focus is the construction industry. They host a variety of events that serve the community, provide scholarships to men and women pursuing careers in the construction industry via a college education or trade apprenticeship program, host educational Lunch-and-Learns for members, and more. Meetings for the Greater Omaha chapter are on the second Thursday of each month in varied locations and are open to the public.
