Community Action Names Jessie Hedrick as Communications and Development Director
Community Action Partnership (www.communityactionatwork.org) of Lancaster and Saunders Counties is pleased to announce that as of January 9, Jessie Hedrick has been named communications and development director. She succeeds Heather Loughman, who was recently selected as Community Action’s CEO. Hedrick has been with the agency for three years, previously holding the communications and development coordinator position. Hedrick holds a BA in English Literature from Murray State University and a certificate in fundraising management. At Community Action, her contributions include increasing community awareness and support of the agency’s mission and serving as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee Chair. Hedrick also actively participates in the Leadership Lincoln Advocates 15 cohort.
“Jessie’s energy, passion for the mission for Community Action, and demonstrated record of success make her ideally suited to this role,” said Loughman. “Having Jessie in this seat will support the agency’s continued growth and ability to respond to community needs.”
Community Action’s mission is to empower people living in poverty to reach economic stability. Its programs and services address the causes and conditions of poverty in four impact areas: early childhood education, homelessness prevention, financial and family well-being, and hunger relief and healthy food access.
