Friendship Home Receives Community Support for DV Victims over the Holidays
Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) received an outpour of generous support from the community to sponsor the families living in their home during the 2021 holiday season. Starting in November, community organizations teamed up to provide 30 families sheltered at Friendship Home meals for Thanksgiving, including turkey, stuffing, yams, and cranberry sauce. An additional seven turkeys were provided to families Friendship Home serves in other capacities. Donations from the Thanksgiving meals were provided by Olsson, Advance Chiropractic Solutions, Community of Christ Church, City Light South Church, The Clark Enersen Partners, and several other community partners.
In December, Friendship Home hosted their annual Sponsored Families Holiday Gift Drive. Over 75 organizations, businesses, churches, and community supporters donated holiday gifts to be given to all 124 survivors served at Friendship Home.
