I Love My Dog Expo to Benefit Domesti-PUPS to Feature Lure Coursing April 9-10
The I Love My Dog Expo, sponsored in part by The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation, is back for another year to benefit Domesti-PUPS (domesti-pups.org).
The event includes entertainment, games, training demonstrations, and plenty of shopping. This year, the expo brings back fan-favorites—the KC Disc Dogs—along with a new option for patrons to try: Lure Coursing. This activity provides fun for your dog while utilizing their natural ability to chase. Any dog that’s in good physical condition and exhibits prey drive is perfect for the sport.
The I Love My Dog Expo will also feature a pet medium and dog sport and obedience demos from the Greater Lincoln Obedience Club. Domesti-PUPS will also present demonstrations on the life-saving tasks service dogs provide their owners. The event will be held from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., April 9 and 10. Admission is $12; children 10 and under (and well-behaved dogs) are free.
Domesti-PUPS is a service organization that provides assistance dogs for persons with disabilities, pet therapy programs, classroom dogs and educational programs, and a rescue dog training/adoption program. It’s their hope that this event will help the general public better understand and appreciate the many ways that dogs enrich our lives.
