Clearwater Counseling Shines Light on Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental Health Awareness Month has arrived and there are various ways to celebrate, according to Clearwater Counseling, PC (clearwatercounselingpc.org). Observed in May, Mental Health Awareness Month is dedicated to bringing mental health to the forefront. It’s a great reminder to take a step back and evaluate one’s mental health. It’s also an opportunity to talk about mental health with others, which helps to end the stigma surrounding mental health.

To celebrate this special occasion, Clearwater Counseling urges individuals to share their mental health story and encourage others to, as well. Additional ways to honor this observance include donating or volunteering to a mental health cause, taking a mental health screen, attending a discussion about mental health, and sharing information or resources on social media.

It’s important to remember that there are many ways to improve mental health and now is the time to reflect and make changes. Proper self-care is key, as well as asking for help when needed. Therapy is an excellent way to express feelings and gain skills to cope with any challenges.
