Union Bank & Trust (UBT, www.ubt.com) has recently promoted four of their employees. The promoted employess are… Jennifer Schnieders to vice president – information technology business solutions management, Nick Ludwig to assistant vice president – union equipment finance, Jade Hood to assistant vice president – manager of deposit services, and Raul Sarmiento to multicultural business banking officer.

Jennifer joined UBT in 2002, later graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She also holds an IT Project Management certification from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her position involves strategizing with the wealth management division and information technology areas to champion long-term technology implementations that meet customer expectations and business objectives.

Nick graduated from University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in finance and joined UBT. He completed his master’s degree and is a member of the Equipment Leasing and Financing Association (ELFA). In his role, he oversees equipment leasing business development, relationship management, and portfolio management. He serves the community as a Cub Scout leader and Junior Achievement volunteer.

Jade joined UBT as a teller and served in the customer service department for 11 years, moving to deposit services as an assistant manager. In her new role, she will lead the department responsible for ensuring legal, compliance, and internal process requirements are followed regarding deposit account documentation and transaction processes. A graduate of Southeast Community College, Hood has an associate degree in culinary arts and food service management and has completed the Nebraska Banker’s Association Operations School.

Raul joined UBT as a teller, eventually serving as Branch Manager for the bank’s depot location. In his new role, Sarmiento will be focused on helping immigrants and multicultural businesses in the Lincoln community to learn the banking system and help connect them with the tools they need to be successful.
