Fresh Start (FreshStartHome.org), a residential program for women experiencing homelessness, is excited to welcome Amanda McKay to the team. She started as the development coordinator in April 2023 and is the new lead for fundraising and charitable giving. She is also the point person for community outreach for the organization, including volunteers and speaking opportunities.
Ms. McKay began her career as case manager and then moved to administrative roles. She has experience in both nonprofits and corporate settings. She was drawn to Fresh Start because of its mission and its focus on serving a traditionally underserved group (women who are homeless).
“I have a heart for nonprofits, and for helping people. This position is a great match for my skills and passions,” Amanda said.
Executive Director Monica Zinke shared “I look forward to working with Amanda to continue to grow awareness of homelessness in our community and our efforts to address it. She is committed to the Lincoln community, and brings new abilities to the team.”
