Mosaic in Southeast Nebraska (www.mosaicinfo.org) is proud to welcome Misty Buchanan as Direct Support Manager. Misty is responsible for delivering the highest quality programs and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and other diverse needs at Mosaic’s Lincoln and Beatrice Day Services. This includes creating and managing their activities calendar to stay active in their communities and ensuring they attend their regular whole-person healthcare meetings to help them track their existing and future goals.
“I have been involved in the IDD community my whole life, as I have a few family members with disabilities,” said Misty. “I did my research before applying to Mosaic. Their values made me want to be a part of what they stand for.”
Outside of work, Misty is a mom to a 13-year-old boy and 10-month-old boy. Her family loves to fish and camp. Their spring and summers are spent on the baseball fields or at the lake. They also enjoy taking their dog Pepperoni with them.
