Earlier this year, we announced plans for an exciting intercity visit to Boise, Idaho in collaboration with our friends at the Greater Topeka Partnership. Set to take place from July 16 to 19, I am excited to share that tickets are now on sale for this dynamic exploration of innovation and learning in one of the nation’s fastest growing cities. Tickets are $1,800 and can be purchased on topekalincoln.com. This registration fee includes hotel accommodations, access to the full schedule of events, transportation to and from The Grove Hotel in Boise and several meals while in Boise.
We are so excited to welcome members of the Lincoln community on this unique trip, which will unite community and business leaders from both Lincoln and Topeka and offer exclusive opportunities to build relationships and explore new pathways to advance our communities. This upcoming intercity visit pioneers a collaboration between two communities visiting a third city together and opens doors to share best practices and foster incredible connections. Additionally, this visit to Boise also offers exceptional sponsorship opportunities for businesses, offering valuable visibility and engagement with diverse stakeholders spanning multiple communities.
Selected after extensive research on various thriving communities across the country, Boise provides an ideal backdrop for collaboration and learning. Renowned for its vibrancy, acclaimed downtown and arts districts and its incredible strides in entrepreneurship, attendees from both Lincoln and Topeka will be positioned to gather truly impactful takeaways from this growing, forward-looking community.
The recently released trip schedule boasts an impressive lineup of networking and educational opportunities, including a panel discussion featuring Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird, Topeka Mayor Mike Padilla and Boise Mayor Lauren McLean. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in specialized interest tracks on downtown branding and placemaking, Urban Renewal Districts and TIF, philanthropy and more. A variety of ongoing networking opportunities will also be key components of the agenda for the trip.
I am so excited for members of our community to establish connections with local leaders and elected officials from Lincoln, Topeka and Boise. You won’t want to miss out on the opportunity to join the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Topeka Partnership on this transformative journey.
I hope you will join us on this educational experience as we collectively elevate the economic vitality of Lincoln for years to come. Visit topekalincoln.com for additional information and for the full agenda for the visit, or contact me at jball@lcoc.com to discuss sponsorship opportunities.
The Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to improve the lives of Lincoln residents by providing increased economic opportunity and can only be accomplished together. For more information, contact Derek Feyerherm at dfeyerherm@lincoln.org.
