Tobacco Free Lancaster County (tobaccofreelancastercounty.org, TFLC) had an absolute blast at Inspire Girls 2024 this March! It was all about good vibes, awesome experiences and some serious girl power.
This year’s event focused on truly empowering areas including: self-defense and safety awareness, leadership and career development, arts and creative expression, STEM education and a special focus on body positivity and mental health. TFLC integrated tobacco education and prevention efforts within the theme of embracing body positivity and mental health, thus, providing an opportunity to share information about the impact of tobacco on both physical and mental well-being. The TFLC booth was the place to be, offering resources for prevention, education and support for friends or family members quitting tobacco.
To highlight the benefits of living tobacco-free while practicing self-love, participants were encouraged to share what they love about themselves, either through words or artistic expression. Check out their feel-good affirmations on the banner and be inspired to think of something you love about yourself.
TFLC hopes that the knowledge, educational resources and supportive atmosphere provided at Inspire Girls 2024 will inspire the attendees to
live a tobacco-free and vape-free lifestyle, prioritizing their physical and mental health. Funding for Tobacco Free Lancaster County is provided by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services/Tobacco Free Nebraska Program as a result of the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement. For
