Burkey has been a nurse since 2005, beginning in hospice as well as acute care. As she continued in the hospital setting, Burkey continued to value the role of hospice. Throughout her profession, she has had the opportunity to provide individualized care. Returning to hospice continues to allow Burkey to focus care on individual patients and provide meaningful support.
