The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Greater Omaha Chamber and the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is proud to announce the return of its annual Federal Legislative Summit on August 29. This year’s event, which will once again be held at the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum in Ashland, will welcome all members of Nebraska’s federal delegation and feature a keynote address from Philip Wegmann, White House correspondent for Real Clear Politics.
Now in its 15th year, the Federal Legislative Summit boasts a long-standing history of success, serving as a unique platform for the business community to learn more about the critical issues impacting our local community, as well as our country. Initially branded as the Federal Fly-Back: Bringing D.C. Home, our inaugural event was created in 2009 by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce as an opportunity to connect with members of the federal delegation after the collapse of Lehman Brothers. Following the success of our first Federal Legislative Summit, we invited our Chamber partners to co-host with us on an annual basis. This valuable partnership with the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Greater Omaha Chamber continues today, positively impacting the strength and reach of the Summit.
As we approach the upcoming elections, this year’s Federal Legislative Summit holds exceptional significance to our business community.
