Husker Rehab’s (huskerrehab.com) location in Nebraska City is excited to highlight the hard work and commitment of its Therapist Tara Stukenholtz Nanninga, MPT and Office Manager Brittany Wissler to Husker Rehab’s mission of high-quality service and community involvement. Additionally, Husker Rehab would like to introduce Ashlee Miller, Nurse Practitioner for Collective Beauty, who will be providing services at the Nebraska City location.
Tara grew up near Peru, Nebraska while attending Auburn Public Schools. Upon graduation, she pursued a science degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Tara received a master’s degree in physical therapy in 1995 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Tara’s first year of physical therapy practice was with Jennie Edmundson Hospital and outpatient clinics in Council Bluffs, IA. While starting her family with her husband, Rod, she worked for Sundance Rehabilitation. Tara and her family moved to Nebraska in 1998 where Tara practiced physical therapy for 22 years. During this time, Tara attained specialty training in postural restoration, dry needling, Graston technique, LSVT Big and custom-made orthotics.
Tara joined Husker Rehab in 2020, and when she is not working, Tara enjoys playing French horn and trumpet, running, skiing, gardening and being outdoors. Tara and Rod now have three grown children and love to spend their extra time remodeling their cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Brittany was born and raised in Nebraska City. She attended Nebraska City Public Schools and graduated from Southeast community college in 2012.
Brittany stays busy with her three younger children and hobby farm during her time away from the clinic. She enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, kayaking, snowboarding, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Ashlee has been an advanced practice registered nurse for six years and has experience in chronic pain management, employee health and workers’ compensation treatment, as well as urgent care and medical aesthetics. She is a certified medical examiner for department of transportation and conducts DOT exams at the Nebraska City location. Ashlee also has 16 years of experience as a registered nurse.
Ashlee has always enjoyed working with and getting to know drivers as they get their initial or renewed DOT certifications. Ashlee provides flexible scheduling and reasonable pricing for DOT exams to drivers from all around Nebraska.
Ashlee also provides aesthetics services, including Botox cosmetic injections and weight loss support via her company, Collective Beauty. Ashlee believes in providing a natural, yet dramatically improved look with Botox cosmetic. As an APRN, she provides education, support, weight-loss medication management and accountability throughout the weight loss journey.
