Seven years ago, Disrupting Traffick (disruptingtraffick.org) was founded to fulfill this mission: that every trafficking victim in Nebraska would feel like there was a place for them to go, that there was hope.

On Sunday, October 13, they will be hosting their Glimmer of Hope Gala to celebrate and share in the hope that Disrupting Traffick has been able to bring to the darkness of trafficking. The event will take place at Seven Willows Wedding and Events 7600 Panama Rd. from 4 to 8 p.m.

They’ve invited their friend and colleague Matt Osborne to share his experiences fighting child trafficking over the last 20 years. Matt served a 12-year career with the Central Intelligence Agency and US Department of State, where he worked issues related to terrorism against the homeland, illegal narcotics, organized crime, and human trafficking. He regularly provided secrets and analysis to US Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, senior cabinet officials, and the National Security Council. With OUR Rescue, Matt has led a total of 27 undercover operations that resulted in the liberation of 211 human trafficking victims and in the arrest of 72 suspected traffickers. His work was featured in the 2023 blockbuster movie, Sound of Freedom.

Disrupting Traffick’s efforts to fight trafficking in Nebraska can only succeed through partnership with the community, business leaders, church leaders and individuals like you. Please join them for this amazing event to celebrate with them, share in the impact and hear about ways to join the movement.
