Congratulations to Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska’s (biane.org) Executive Director, Peggy Reisher, for her award from National Association of State Head Injury Administrators – NASHIA last month!
Peggy Reisher was one of the first organizational leaders to develop partnerships with the juvenile justice system in her state, providing training and education related to youth and brain injuries. She entered NASHIA’s leading practices academy to expand this work into a sustainable program that is now supporting many justice-involved youths with brain injuries. She has also expanded this work to support adults in the criminal legal system, survivors of intimate partner violence and other vulnerable populations.
Through its Friend of NASHIA Award, NASHIA recognizes an individual who has consistently provided professional expertise and assistance to ensure that NASHIA offers quality information, materials, training and other opportunities to help states incorporate “best practices” into state programs and services, as well as to provide training to brain injury program administrators.
Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska says they’re lucky to have Peggy Reisher as their Executive Director and they love seeing her hard work recognized!
Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska’s mission is to create a better future for all Nebraskans through brain injury prevention, education, advocacy and support. Visit biane.org for more information.
