On September 24, a NARCAN Vending Machine was installed at CenterPointe (centerpointe.org)! NARCAN is now more accessible in Lincoln, thanks to a partnership with Region V and the Nebraska Pharmacists Association. The NARCAN Vending Machine includes:
- Narcan: A life-saving medication that can reduce an opioid overdose
- Deterra: a drug destruction bag
- Safe sex kits
- First aid kits
Anyone can now go into the CenterPointe Campus for Health and WellBeing lobby, located at 2202 S 11th St., and access these items at no cost, with no questions asked. This machine is the first of its kind in Nebraska!
The NARCAN Vending Machine is another element of CenterPointe’s Compassionate, Harm Reduction approach: meeting people where they are in their journey of recovery.
